The Dawn Blog

TheDawnBlog.comGreetings!  My name is Dawn McKenzie and I’m the creator and author of The Dawn Blog and I’m honored to share my adventure with you.

You may have noticed that I do love the morning and perhaps that’s why I stay up until 3, 4 sometimes 5 in the morning.  How about you?  If you’re anything like me, your juices start to flow at the oddest times of day or night and you just have to flow with them. I’m lucky that my posse (my cats Kyra and Six) don’t mind my late night creative surges. My family is a little less tolerant, but I love them just the same.

Visual art has always been my passion.  Having attended the H.S. of Music & Art in New York City and then getting a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Connecticut, it was not my plan to return to NYC to work as a budget analyst for a city agency, but that I did. After all, I had bills to pay.  Sound familiar?  The more I worked, the more bills I had to pay, so then I worked more.  And the more I worked, the less time and energy I had to devote to my passion, my art until it got buried somewhere between rush hour and all-nighters in the advertising industry, the insurance industry, the publishing industry, a traditional business my husband and I started… you get the drift.

But hope was on the horizon.  And that leads me to tell you why I’m making this video for you.  I believe you relate to my story and you’re trying to figure out how to carve out time in your busy schedule to finally work on that masterpiece that’s been brewing inside your head for weeks, months, even years while your days and nights are consumed by work, family and/or pets, commuting, more work, errands, cleaning, favors for friends, checking email, checking facebook, paying bills, making those obligatory calls and on and on.

What if there’s a chance you can turn things around so your creative expression can breathe and blossom and take front seat center in your life, as it has in mine?

You see, after searching for a number of years, I started a “part time” network/internet marketing business from home (right across the room from my drawing table).  I just knew this would give me the time and the income I needed to pursuit my art career… but it wasn’t happening fast enough.  Although I hate to admit it, as a baby boomer I feel I’m running out of time and there is a greater urgency for getting things done NOW.

After spending a number of years learning all I could about the industry, but feeling I was going backward, I stumbled upon the idea of REALLY doing my internet marketing business online.  I mean REALLY on line, but with a mentor who has the expertise to guide me through the process step-by-step allowing me to cut back considerably on the learning curve, allowing me to attract prospects and customers automatically 24/7, leaving me time and energy to devote to drawing, painting, constructing, etc.,

Since joining up with my mentors, I’ve started seeing results in weeks that previously took years.  To my complete surprise I started making affiliate money immediately, which certainly takes the pressure off while I build my business at a much easier but more rapid pace with an online system where much of the work is automated. This allows me to devote more of my precious time and energy to my creative endeavors, and I realize there are a lot of people out there like me.

That’s why I’m here.  I’m here to be a mentor to you and pay it forward. I’d love to get to know you.  I’d love to know what kind of work you’re anxious to do.  Stop by and say hi on my blog.
